Slowly catching back up with the posts. A nice big yay for that. Ironic though, to get this week’s theme around the same time tsuyu (rainy season) starts in Japan,which just makes everything feel all mushy and kind of sad.
Well week 14′s theme was Blue. The reason blue was chosen as the theme was because we haven’t really done a color theme yet. There is a lot that is associated with colors like feelings or characteristics.
Well, here are the photos. Like last week, the third guy had to take a break to take care of some other projects and work so there are only two this week.
Oh, look at y’all. I used “blue” for a contest in Kansas City. The students there got the emotion blue, the color blue and jazz for “blues.” Good to see y’all thinking about this as in a variety of ways. If you want a challenge, try “white.” The image of the car is definitely blue. But technically, it’s weak, a point-and-shoot, more or less. Lighting is rather flat and reflections distract rather than add to the subject. Background also distracts. Fun lines and angles, though. The other image seems a bit artificial. Person seems to have a hint of a smile on face. Nice, tight shot. Great skin textures. Good colors. Dark hair and background work together to accent the darkness of being blue. Cropping even adds to this image which is my fav.
