Interesting this week, the theme of this weeks falls back to back with Week 11′s “self-portrait.”
The theme for this week is Portrait. I haven’t received a reasoning for picking portrait but I find it interesting to have the theme self-portrait without us in it to anything that would be classified a portrait. Definitely a broad category to say the least. Once I get a reasoning for picking portrait I’ll append this paragraph with that update. Until then the three photos are:

Photo #1 has great focus on the hands and baby bird. The girl’s face is not totally out of focus. but her eyes lead you back to the hands which which take command of the shot.
Photo #2 is more of an action shot than a portrait. It’s a beautiful shot, but there’s no focus on one particular area or subject. There’s too many subjects in the shot.
Photo #3 also has a lot going on in it also. There’s focus on the desk area, but which item should the attention be given to? The gentleman and the monitor are also drawing a bit of attention as well.
When I think of a portrait, I’m generally thinking head shot or primary focus/concentration on one particular subject in the shot whether it be a body part, a chair, a flower, ect.
So I would have to say the ranking would be;
